Violet Benner, LPC

Welcome! My name is Violet Benner and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor here at SRI. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 2016. I spent 15 years of my professional career working with folks with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and dual diagnoses that included ADHD, depression and anxiety. I have experience working with children and teens in BHRS/wraparound services, as well as with adults with Autism & Intellectual Disabilities in the roles of Supports Coordinator, Behavior Specialist, & Systematic Skill Builder. I have also spent a few years working therapeutically with incarcerated individuals & returning citizens within the Criminal Justice system.

I take a humanistic, person centered approach to my work, meeting each individual where they are and collaborating to support meaningful growth and change. As noted, I am most experienced working with individuals navigating ADHD, anxiety, and autism, as well as those adjusting to significant life transitions and stressors such as, but not limited to retirement, reentry into the community or divorce. I provide therapy for teens and adults across the lifespan, and aim to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they move through life's challenges. My work focuses on helping clients manage symptoms while also building practical coping strategies that improve day-to-day functioning and overall quality of life.
