Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Drexel University. I have experience working with pre-adolescence to senior citizens and have also counseled couples and those a part of the LGBTQ community. Furthermore, I work with the forensic population and treating individuals with a range of mental health, emotional and behavioral issues which include thought disorders, depression, anxiety, suicide risk, boundary and relational issues, drug and alcohol abuse, anger management, complex trauma, and grief.
My therapeutic orientation is grounded in psychodynamic theory but also includes cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and trauma-based techniques. I also offer art therapy for those who are receptive to this integrative approach which allows a client to participate in his or her own treatment through the creative process of art making.
Additionally, I strive to create a feeling of safety, comfortability and a non-judgmental environment with every client as I believe that this allows for more spontaneous and authentic interactions which allows for change and healing to occur.
