Hello. My name is Kristin Maurer. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and a therapist at SRI Psychological Services. I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University in 2015. I also hold a master’s degree in General Psychology with a research focus from the New School of Social Research. In my career I have worked with youth who have a range of diagnoses and difficulties, including ADHD, Autism, genetic disorders impacting development, Intellectual Disability, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, behavior disorders, and trauma disorders. I also have experience working in a behavioral health clinic for adults with HIV and other chronic medical conditions, providing assessment and therapy for co-occuring mental health and/or substance use disorders.
I believe strongly in tailoring therapy towards the individual, and I use an eclectic approach, drawing on different therapeutic modalities as appropriate. I will work with you to help determine the specific needs bringing you or your child in, but also remain flexible, as needs and goals can fluctuate over time. I believe in meeting individuals where they are at, listening to each person’s story, and bringing in evidence based therapies to help create meaningful change.
