MIKE JORDAN, LCSW

Mike Jordan

Hi my name is Mike Jordan and I am a licensed clinical social worker at SRI. I received my bachelors in psychology from St. Joseph’s University in 2001. I then worked for a few years in a crisis residential facility with children who were struggling with severe behavioral problems. I went on to receive my masters degree in social service from Bryn Mawr College in 2005, and I received my LCSW in 2007.

I worked as an outpatient psychotherapist from 2005 until 2019, and I worked as a senior Director for the past few years, running a program that helped provide mobile therapy and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents. I currently work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a wide variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, addiction, grief, and many other clinical presentations.

My work tends to be very insight-oriented, focusing on helping individuals to understand themselves better so that they can make lasting changes and cope better with difficult life circumstances. I believe that the key to lasting change is understanding the past, its influences on the present, and how/why we think and act the way we do. Our therapy together will focus on identifying the current triggers of your mental health concerns, unpacking the past, understanding it better, and identifying healthy coping skills to help my clients lead more fulfilling, and productive lives.
