MICHELLE SALERNO SIGMAN, MA ATR-BC, LPC
Welcome, my name is Michelle Salerno Sigman and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a registered and board certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) with a Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University in New York.
I have worked in the field of mental health since 2001 in a variety of settings; adult psychiatric partial care and hospitals, an adolescent psychiatric group home, as well as a school for children with special needs such as Autism. My experience spans from children, teens, adults, individuals and families in my clinical work.
I believe ALL humans of all ages benefit from communication whether verbally or through the art process regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, trauma history, or drug and alcohol history. Clinically, I use an integrative therapeutic approach using a variety tools and knowledge to best treat my clients’ needs such as CBT, mindfulness, behavioral approaches, and art therapy. In a safe healing environment together we can work on your personal goals and we can create positive changes in you life.
